Hey! I’m Logan.
Originally from the US, I spent 14 years working and studying overseas in France, Thailand, Singapore, and China where my professional experiences spanned education leadership, entrepreneurship, mentorship and digital marketing. I moved to the Boston area in the summer of 2023 with my partner, two daughters, and our quintessentially friendly golden retriever.
For the last year I’ve worked as the co-founder and COO of Careerspan, a technology startup on a mission to bring AI-powered career growth tools to everyone. I handle operations and marketing at the company, which raised a $1M pre-seed round in early 2024. My co-founder and I previously started and then sold a small consulting firm in Singapore, and we’re excited to use technology to scale personalized access to career development. Our vision is to help everyone build, maintain and communicate their “career IP”: the stories, skills and experiences that form your hire-ability.
At Harvard GSE, I’m a part-time masters student in the Learning Design, Innovation and Technology program, focusing on skill development, adult learning and the future of work. I have felt fortunate to be able to bring my learnings as a student to my “day job” and vice versa. My favorite class (so far) has been How the Future of Work is Shaping the Future of Education with Dr. Peter Blair, and I’ve also learned a great deal from my involvement with the Project on Workforce Study Group. I’m particularly interested in exploring personalization at the intersection of learning and engagement using marketing techniques.
Having studied in a variety of institutions around the world, I’m equally interested in how post-secondary institutions can help learners of all ages build durable skills that are both relevant to their local context and are transferable across contexts. I hold a BA in International Relations and French Studies from The University of Pennsylvania, a French immersion certificate from my year abroad at Sciences Po, a post-graduate certificate in education from University of Nottingham, and I also completed an intensive Mandarin program for two semesters at Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Language learning and travel are both lifelong passions.
My “big” aspiration is to work with people and programs that help individuals plan, build, and achieve their own learning throughout their careers.
I’d like to start documenting some of my learning + reflections in long-form writing on Medium - will link any musings here (if I ever get around to it)!
